This Month's Projects at-a-glance

(for easy project-finding!)

SHABBY-CHIC

CARD

The above card is one I made.  We did different

flowers from the prototype below, which had ribbon roses.

There are aspects of the prototype I like better than what I made,

but mine actually turned out prettier than the picture

shows.  (It was nighttime when I took the pics,

which creates a graininess.)

Here's the prototype!

(So you have TWO to use for ideas!)

 Project  Notes

CARDSTOCKS/PAPERS:

■  Main card:  Chocolate Chip - Cut at 5-1/2" X 11"; scored at

     4-1/4"

■  Panel on right third: This is a retired DP.  The color is retired Groovy Guava, which, if you have, you could use, and just stamp something simple on it, in VersaMark or Groovy Guava, to get an interesting pattern, if you want; it's not really necessary.  C

■  The tall, narrow green piece is 1/2 inch wide ~ is another DP, in Always Artichoke.

INKS:

■  Certainly Celery Craft stamp pad

■  Early Espresso Classic stamp pad

■  Always Artichoke Classic stamp pad

■  Groovy Guava Classic stamp pad

STAMP SETS:  Baroque Motifs, Elements of Style.  I'm not sure what set the "For you" was from, but you could use any small stamp that would fit inside the small oval ~ or any small ~ punch.

ACCESSORIES Gem brad in the middle of the largest flower; two smaller brads in the smaller flowers, twine to tie onto  the oval "for you"; attach this with two small glue dots; Dimensionals or Pop-up Glue Dot ~ to pop the largest flower up with .

TOOLS:  Scallop punch ~ to punch the left side of the right piece.

      Corner rounder punch

3 Sponges to use with the dark brown, guava, and artichoke

   FOR THE FLOWERS:

5-Petal Punch for the largest flower piece and the leaves

Boho Blossoms punch (or other small flower punch) for the three smallest flower pieces

INSTRUCTIONS:

CARD BASE:

1) Stamp the flourishy and floral stamps in the patterns shown in either of the patterns shown here.  I did more on mine (above) than they did on the prototype (right), but both are very pretty!  And there's no "one right or best  way" to do it!  If I were doing it over again, I would stamp onto the Early Espresso card with the Early Espresso, and then on the Guava with something lighter, (as in the prototype), which I'm not sure of the color ~ maybe Close to Cocoa or even Creamy Caramel.

2)  Then stamp the larger flourish in the middle of the brown, and allow to thoroughly dry, and then stamp another area of the flourish over it in the Early Espresso.  Then stamp the flowers and flourish onto the upper and lower ends of the Guava piece in whatever color you decided to do it in.

SPLIT NEGATIVE

MOTORCYCLE

CARD

Here's the prototype, which is pretty much the same,

other than I added a bolt in the upper left corner of mine.

This is a brighter picture, which is actually more

what mine looks like.

Here is the link to the video of this:

Supplies to Bring

to each class:

Paper cutter

Snail adhesive (for those

who prefer that over glue sticks)

Reading (or close-work) glasses!

(A little tip...  I normally wear 2.50–2.75

reading glasses, but for closer, more-detailed work

like this, I got a pair of 3.00's and LOVE 'em!)

  Small sharp scissors

(which Stampin' Up calls "Paper Snips")

Bone Folder

List of supplies to bring this  time,

if   you have them, and want  to bring them:

(But, again, you do not HAVE

to bring any of these!!!)

I might think of something

else, so check back again in the

morning before you leave!
